When mob boss Lester Hudson's daughter falls for a handsome professional tennis player with a notorious reputation of abusing women, Lester is concerned. Lester calls on a friend to keep an eye on the tennis player. "Check this guy out" he tells him, "then do what you must." Lester's man, Bill Winters a retired slammer and hit man who long ago had mastered the art of the clean kill takes on the job. When he tracks down his target in Newport, Rhode Island he learns quickly that Rudy Bass is an offensive and vile young man. In all his years of work, Winters had never been caught, his sight set, no one could ever stop him.
