Introduction
ClipFix LLC (“ClipFix”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect your information when you use the ClipFix mobile application (“App”) and related services.
By using ClipFix, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Recognition Content
- When you use screen recognition or camera recognition, we collect screenshots or camera images to identify the media.
- These files are uploaded to our servers and may be sent to third-party API providers for more accurate recognition.
- Recognition content is kept for up to 12 months to help improve recognition algorithm accuracy. The data is analyzed without being linked to your personal identity. After 12 months, the content is permanently deleted.
- Access to recognition content is strictly limited to authorized personnel.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Unique User IDs:: We generate a unique ID for each guest account to link searches with your activity. This allows us to provide accurate and personalized results. The ID is system-generated and cannot be used to directly identify you.
- Push Notification Tokens:: To keep you informed about the status of your movie searches, we store your push notification tokens. This allows us to send push notifications to your device when a movie is found based on your search
- Usage Data:: We collect information about how you interact with the app, including in-app activity, clicks, scrolls, and etc. This data is used to analyze product usage, understand feature performance, and improve the overall user experience. It is processed in an aggregate and is not linked to your personal identity.
Information You Provide
When you create an account, we collect certain information you choose to provide:
- Email Address (required)
- Full Name (optional)
- Profile Picture (optional)
To secure your account, we process:
- Password (stored in encrypted form), or
- Social Login Credentials (Apple, Google, or Facebook).
User Content
If you use features such as wishlists or collections, we store the media items you choose to save. This information is associated with your account but does not identify you beyond your account profile.
General Statistical Information
We use third party services, such as Google Analytics ,Firebase & Amplitude to collect and analyze how you use ClipFix. The collected data may contain information such as: device type and model, operating system and version, app version, platform (iOS or Android), country, city, general device settings, and usage information. These services may collect information about you and your usage of ClipFix in accordance with their respective privacy policies. This information is collectively referred to as 'General Statistical Information' and used by us to provide you with the best user experience possible.
How We Use Your Data
To Provide and Improve Our Service: We use the data you provide—such as screen recordings, uploaded images, or camera photos—for media search and recognition, enabling our AI to identify movies and related content. This data may also be processed in a de-identified form to improve accuracy and enhance ClipFix’s functionality.
To Communicate with You:
- Push Notifications: We use your device’s notification token to send you movie details when we found the movie and, where permitted by law, promotional or informational messages about our product. You can manage or disable notifications anytime in your device settings.
- Email: When you create an account, you provide an email address. We may use this email to send service-related updates and important notices. Where permitted by law, we may also send promotional or informational emails about our product. You can opt out of promotional communications at any time.
To Analyze Performance and Resolve Issues: We collect and process usage data to monitor app performance, identify bugs, diagnose problems, and ensure the stability and security of our services. This data is handled in a de-identified form and is not linked to your personal identity.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use third-party providers such as Firebase, Amplitude, Hotjar, RevenueCat, AI API providers, and AWS (US/EU) to support app functionality, analytics, subscription management, and recognition services. These providers receive only aggregated or anonymized data.
- AI Recognition Services: When you submit media (such as images or screen recordings) for recognition, we may share it with trusted AI API providers to identify movies, videos, or celebrities. This data is processed solely for recognition purposes and is not linked to your personal identity.
- Streaming Platform Partners: When you choose to access a movie or show through a streaming platform, we may redirect you to that partner using a referral link. This link may include a referral code for tracking subscriptions or commissions. The referral code is not linked to your personal identity, and does not allow the partner to identify you through our app.
- Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights: We may disclose information if required by applicable law or legal process, or when necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, or ensure the safety of our users.
- Aggregated/Anonymized Data: We may share aggregated or de-identified data with analytics, subscription, or business partners. This information cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
International Data Transfers
- Some of your data, including recognition content, may be stored in AWS servers located in the United States.
- By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer.
- We apply encryption and access controls to protect data during transfer and storage.
Data Retention
- Recognition Content: Deleted after 12 months.
- Other Data: Retained only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law.
- Account Deletion: If you delete your account through the app’s functionality, your personal information will be removed from our platform immediately.

Children’s Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them without parental consent.
You may use ClipFix if you are under the applicable age only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the legal age without such consent, we will promptly delete it. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the App and on our website with the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App means you accept the changes
