Set in London in a wonderfully atmospheric Chelsea apartment block, 'Whitelands' is a tender, funny and insightful look at what happens when two people initially at odds with each other and separated by age and social class come to an unexpected mutual acceptance and even understanding. Connor, a Glaswegian in his late twenties, is taken by his girlfriend Jen to visit her great aunt for tea. He faces off against the formidable Val, Lady Style, a sparkling ninety-five year-old with a flinty exterior and sharp wit. As the afternoon progresses, barriers are broken down and the two learn that they may have more in common than they expected.
